'The Science Forum', B.H. College, Howly was established in the year 2003 with a view to promote the student community of science stream to develop their scientific talents and the academic spirit in real sense.
Aim of the Forum :
To encourage the students to participate in various science related activities for creating exposure to the recent advances in science and building scientific temperament & creative thinking.

| Wall magazine inauguration, 20th February, 2020 | NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY 28th February, 2020 B.H.COLLEGE, HOWLY On the occasion of National science Day, ‘The Science Forum’, B.H.College, Howly organized a short programme in view of Covid pandemic condition in other states of India. The programme includes the inauguration of Wall magazines of six departments of Science stream along with its judgement and a short talk to be delivered by Dr. Arnav Sarma, MD, General Physician and alumni of B.H.College. The programme started at 11.30 am. The Assistant Secretary of the Forum, Monalisa das with the guidance of the Secretary of the forum, Dr. Suruchi Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology, B.H.college, started the programme with a warm welcome and also stated the significance of the day. The President of The Science Forum, Dr. Bhushan Ch. Pathak, Principal, B.H.College was felicitated with a phulam gamosa by a student. Monalisa Das introduced our Chief guest Dr. Arnav Sarma to the students. He was felicitated by a phulam Gamosa, collection of books, published by B.H.College prakashan samitee, a pen and a golden jubilee momento. Next, Monalisa Das explained the objectives of the National Science Day and its theme. After that, President of the forum, Dr. B.C.pathak was invited to say few words. He with his motivational story inspired the students to work hard and be a well human being. He also motivated to do more hard work in life. Next, the Wall magazines of the department of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology and Statistics were inaugurated by Dr. Arnav Sarma on 28th February 2020 at 12.00 noon. During the programme, Dr. B.C.Pathak, President of the Forum; Faculties of Science Stream and students of each department were present. After the inauguration, Dr. A.Sarma judged the wall magazines by having a long interaction with the student’s representatives of the each department wall magazines. The judgement was finished by 12.30 PM and he was very amazed and satisfied by the wall magazines. Next, our chief guest Dr. Arnav Sarma was requested to say few words. He started his speech welcoming everybody. He stated the significance of the day. He expressed his gratitude towards his teachers who have helped him during his study in the college. He said the students the significance of science in life. He also inspired the students to study science and always work hard with sincerity in life to get successful. Monalisa Das on the behalf of everyone expressed the views by saying that the keynote speech was encouraging for the students and also thanks the forum for organising such programme. At last, our Chief Guest declared the result of wall magazine competition. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize was received by Department of Botany, Zoology and Mathematics respectively. The consolation prize was given away to the department of Physics, Chemistry and Statistics. The theme of the wall magazines were – 1. Department of Physics – The Stellar Panoroma . 2. The programme includes the inauguration of Wall magazines of six departments of Science stream along with its judgment by Sri Pranjit kumar Das Sir, Honourable President of GB, B.H.College, Howly and Retd. Prof. of Department of Mathematics and Sri Binoy Kumar Basumatary Sir, Retd Prof. Department of Zoology, M.C.College Barpeta. Also a motivational talk to be delivered by Dr. Chavan kumar Sarmah, Assistant Professor, Department of Statistics, B.H.College. At last a merit award distribution ceremony was arranged for distinguished students of the year 2019 and 2020 The programme started at 11.00 am. The President of The Science Forum, Dr. Bhushan Ch. Next the Merit award distribution ceremony was organized for the students who secured highest percentage in each department. The award comprises of certificate and a bundle of books named The Dale Carnegie Anthology (Set of 5 books) and a momento for the Best Science Graduate. The Best Science Graduate Award was also awarded to students who secured highest percentage of marks among all the Science departments for the year 2019 and 2020. He started his speech welcoming everyone. He started his speech on how to achieve a goal. He discussed about the good qualities a student should have to get his goal. He asked the students to be sincere, disciplined and hardworking. At last, our Chief Guest declared the result of wall magazine competition. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize was received by Department of Chemistry, Physics and Botany respectively. The consolation prize was given away to the department of Zoology, Mathematics and Statistics. | Wall magazine inauguration, 15th October, 2022 | Six Wall magazines with the following themes have been inaugurated by Dr. B. C. Pathak, Principal, B. H. College, Howly today at 12 noon. Physics: Unwinding Cosmos, Chemistry: Chocolate Chemistry, Mathematics: Math Madness, Zoology: Cancer in a Nut shell, Botany: Biotech Challenge and Statistics: Global social Media. The programme was conducted by Dandeswar Deka, Secretary, The Science Forum where Subrata Paul, B.Sc. 5th Sem (Physics Hons) delivered welcome speech and Dipjyoti Kalita, B.Sc. 5th Sem (Physics Hons) offered vote of thanks. Dr. B. C. Pathak has delivered a lecture in the seminar hall on the occasion where he explained thoroughly the different aspects of the magazines and highly praised the same. Of course, he also points out some drawbacks of the magazines and put forward some important suggestions for the better upliftment of the magazines. He also requests to conserve the magazines in proper format as every year old editions are replaced by new ones. | Observation of National Science Day on 28th February, 2018 | On the occasion of National science Day, ‘The Science Forum’, B.H.College, Howly organized a day long programme. The programme included the inauguration of Wall magazines of six Departments of science stream and a talk was delivered by Dr. Paban Kumar Saharia, Associate Professor, Department of Physics, Cotton State University, Guwahati and also associated with many social activities and societies. The Wall magazines of the Departments of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology and Statistics were inaugurated by Dr. Paban Kumar Saharia at 11.30 AM on 28th February 2018. During the programme, Dr. B.C. Pathak, President of the Forum; Faculties of Science Stream and students of each Department were present. After the inauguration, Dr. P.K. Saharia judged the wall magazines by having a long interaction with the students representatives of the respective Departments. The next programme started at about 1.15 PM in the College Auditorium. The Assistant Secretary of the Forum, Bappi Nath started the programme with a warm welcome and also stated the significance of the meeting. Dr. P. K. Saharia was felicitated by a phulam gamosa, a collection of Books published by the B.H. College Prakashan Samitee, a Pen, a Golden Jubilee Memento, Zappi and a souvenir “Smriti Grantha”. He was felicitated by Mr. J.P. Roy Choudhury, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, B.H. College, Howly. Next Silpa Rani Pathak explained the objectives of the National Science Day and its Theme. Dr. P. K. Saharia started his speech with a warm welcome to the audience and stated the significance of the day. He explained the reason for celebrating National Science Day – Firstly to encourage new students on science realms and Secondly to spread message of science among masses. He gave an elaborate talk on “Life of C.V. Raman”. In his talk he said that one of the research papers of Raman was published a publisher of London and which was appreciated by Lord Ray, discoverer of Argon. Raman published a famous research paper, where he did an experiment on sound propagation for Indian instruments like Tabla, Sarangi etc. This paper was published in “NATURE” by Oxford publication. C.V. Raman is known for his discovery of Raman effect. He explained elaborately on Raman effect for which Raman was awarded Nobel prize in 1928. He concluded his speech by encouraging students to pay importance on hard work, passion, dedication and persistence to achieve the goal. Next Dr. B. C. Pathak, Principal, B.H. College, Howly delivered his inspirational speech and urged the students to try until the goal is achieved. He also spoke about the importance of National Science Day and encouraged the students to do hard work. Neha Das, a student from B.Sc. 4th Sem of Zoology Major expressed her views by saying that the keynote speech was encouraging for the students and gave much informations on the Life of C. V. Raman and Raman’s effect. At last, Dr. P. K. Saharia declared the result of wall magazine competition. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes were received by the Departments of Mathematics, Chemistry and Zoology respectively. | Observation of world Rhino Day, 2019 | World Rhino Day, 2019 World Rhino Day was celebrated on 23.09.2019 to raise awareness to protect Rhino. The program was organized by Field Director, Manas Tiger Project, WWF-India, MEWS in association with The Science Forum, B.H. College, Howly, Assam and the program was held at Seminar Hall, B. H. College, Howly at 12:30 PM. The students of Zoology (Major) and Botany (Major) participated actively in the program. The program started with a welcome speech by Manalisa Das, a B.Sc 3rd Sem (Zoology major) student, stating about importance of World Rhino Day. Later on, Dharani Dhar Boro, Dr. Debo Kr. Dutto, Babul Brahma, Kameshwar Baro, Nayan Jyoti Das, Bir Bahadur Lama and Dr. J. Biswas were felicitated with Phulam gamosa by the student members of B.H. College Science Forum. D.D Boro (Officer on SPI duty, Manas Tiger Project) delivered a short speech on the purpose and objectives of the program. He told that Rhino have the equal right to live in this world, but due to increase in human population, destruction of their habitats took place. If we lose one specie there is a great loss to our nature. So we should come together for the conservation and protection of Rhino. In Assam there are only 2 biosphere reserves : Dibrusaikhowa and Manas. In Manas there are 5 species of Rhino and they are Black Rhino, White Rhino, Javan Rhino, one horned Rhino, Sumatran Rhino. Out of them one horned Rhino is found only in Assam. Now, in Kaziranga almost more than 2000 Rhinoceros are found. Manas NP has 40 and Orang NP has 95 rhinoceros. He also said that we should come forward to stop destruction of our forest. By saving our Forests, we, Homo sapiens, can live on this Earth for the next thousand years. And he ended up his speech by giving advice to young generations to come forward and take initiatives to be national labour and save our forests and animals. Babul Brahma spoke a few initiative lines on Rhino conservation and wildlife monitoring system in Manas. He also emphasized on translocation. Later on Nayan Jyoti Das spoke on Eco-Social impact of Rhino Conservation in Manas (Eco-Tourism in Manas). The heritage of elephant capture, training and handling, culture of traditional Assamese elephant management, re-utilization of unemployed captive Asian Elephants occupy a special place in North-Eastern state of Assam. He also added that the community based Eco-Tourism in the national park provides the chance to explore the various employment options to the youths without leaving their own home. Bir Bahadur Lama spoke on Eco-Tourism development. Deba Kr. Dutto (Landscape Co-ordinator, WWF- India) spoke a few lines on the scope and prospects of research and career development in conservation of wildlife in connection to Manas National Park. He said about the diversity of Manas NP. More than 60 species of Mammals including more than 30 Schedule I species, over 400 species of Birds, more than 40 species of Reptiles, more than 8 species of Amphibians, over 60 species of Fishes, more than 250 species of Butterflies, 6 types of Forest found in Manas NP. He briefed about the Rhino Translocation that is initiated by the most ambitious conservation project IRV 2020 in Assam which will increase the existing Rhino population (~2200) in Assam to 3000 by the end of 2020. The lost Rhino population in Manas NP is being rebuilt by translocating Rhinos from other parts, wildlife sanctuaries, Kaziranga NP. It was observed that adult males settled in Manas NP 200 days in average and adult female settled 60 days after translocation. As per 100% MCP results, average home range of adult males was 156.6 km² and adult females was 90.24 km². There are 139 different species preferences observed among Rhinoceros in different seasons. Cynodon dactylon, Arundo donax, Imperata cylindrica, Saccharum spontaneum, grasses are maximum preferred species throughout the year. He interacted with students and ended with a line “The more you take responsibility for your past and present the more you are able to create the future you seek”. Dr. J. Biswas gave a short speech and discussed about the purpose of this program. | Observation of World Environment Day, 5th June, 2017 | WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY, 5th June, 2017 The Science Forum, B. H. College, Howly organized a Tree Plantation Drive to celebrate the World Environment Day on 5th June, 2017. The programme started in B. H. College campus at 10:30 AM. The programme was conducted by Dr. Suruchi Singh, Secretary, The Science Forum, B. H. College, Howly with a brief introduction of the aim and objectives of the occasion. Dr. B. C. Pathak, Principal, B. H. College, Howly cum President, The Science Forum, B. H. College, Howly was felicitated with a phulam gamosha by Priyanka Sarkar, Dept. of Chemistry. After felicitation, Dr. B.C. Pathak planted a Neem tree. Later on senior teacher Dr. Ganesh Goswami (HoD, Dept. of Sanskrit), Mr. M. K. Bhowmick ( HoD, Dept. of Botany), Mr. A. M. Sikdar (Dept. of History) also participated in the plantation drive. Our IQAC coordinator Dr. S. A. Ahmed also involved in the drive. At last, Secretary of the forum and teachers of the college planted a sapling each. The total of 101 saplings of various trees like Debadaru, Neem, Bakul, Mahagony, Nahor, Sonaru, Titachap and Malaysian Sal were planted. The saplings were protected by nets and bamboo sticks. The students were also involved in the programme that made the event a grand success. | |

| Observation of National Science Day on 28th February, 2017 | ‘The Science Forum’, B. H. College, Howly observed National Science Day with a day long programme and also published new edition of wall magazines of the Departments of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Zoology, Botany and Statistics on 28th February, 2017. The magazines were inaugurated by Prof. Kulendra Dev Mishra, Retired Professor, Department of Chemistry, M. C. College, Barpeta at 12.30 PM. Prof. Mishra was also associated with different social activities. After inauguration of the magazines a meeting was held in room no. 18 at 1.15 PM. Dr. Suruchi Singh, Secretary, The Science Forum started the programme stating the aims and objectives of the programme with a warm welcome to all present in the meeting. Prof. Mishra started his speech stating the significance of the day and highly appreciated the forum for conducting such type of programme in the college. He also appreciated and encouraged students associated with the wall magazines. In his lecture, he explained the rich culture of India stating that during 6th century India was very rich in science education in comparison to the neighbouring countries. But, now India is lagging behind in science and technology as compared to developed countries like China, Japan, U.K., Russia, U.S.A. etc. He urged the student community to pay attention into this matter and do hard work for uplifting our country in science and technology. After his speech, he declared the results of competition of wall magazines and gave away the prizes to the winners. Department of Botany begged the 1st prize while Departments of Mathematics and Statistics begged the 2nd & 3rd prizes respectively. The themes of the magazines were 1. Botany : Cell, 2. Mathematics : How to learn Mathematics, 3. Statistics : Demonitization, 4. Physics : Black Hole – the Expanding Universe, 5. Chemistry : Chemistry in Human Body and 6. College, Howly observed National Science Day with a day long programme and also published new edition of wall magazines of the Departments of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Zoology, Botany and Statistics on 28th February, 2019. The magazines were inaugurated by Dr. Kiran Chandra Bayan, Retired Principal, M. C. College, Barpeta at 11 AM. Dr. K. C. Bayan was also the HoD, Chemistry, M. C. College, Barpeta and associated with different social activities. After inauguration of the magazines a meeting was held in the Seminar Hall at 12.30 PM. Dr. Suruchi Singh, Secretary, ‘The Science Forum’ conducted the programme where Bappi Nath (6th Sem Zoology Major), Assistant Secretary of the Forum explained the aims and objectives of the programme with a warm welcome to all present in the meeting. Dr. K. C. Bayan started his speech stating the significance of the day and highly appreciated the forum for conducting such type of programme in the college. He also appreciated and encouraged the students associated with the wall magazines and urged them not to be superstitious. In his lecture, he appealed the students not to set fire into tyres, effigies of political leaders etc. during any type of protest which may pollute the environment. He also urged the students not to make sound pollution during bike rally. He advised the students to go through the book ‘Dead of Death’ written by MIT students. He talked about Einstein’s brain and some theories of Einstein like theory of relativity etc. Then Dr. B. C. Pathak Principal, B. H. College, Howly cum President, ‘The Science Forum’ said few lines regarding the importance of the National Science Day and inspired the students to do hard work to achieve the goals. In the meeting, Prof. Mrinal Kanti Bhowmick, HoD, Botany stated the history of the opening of science stream in the college and mentioned the contributions of the founders of the stream of which he was one of them. He also inspired and encouraged the students for a bright future. Then the merit award distribution ceremony was conducted where prizes were given to the best science graduate student and the students of scoring highest marks in the major subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Zoology, Botany and Statistics of the year 2018. The prizes were comprised of a certificate along with a memento to each awardee. After this Dr. K. C. Bayan declared the results of competition of wall magazines and gave away the prizes to the winners. Department of Zoology begged the 1st prize while Departments of Mathematics and Physics begged the 2nd & 3rd prizes respectively. The themes of the magazines were 1. Botany : Study on Demography, 2. Mathematics : Mathematics in Real World, 3. Statistics : Biotechnology, 4. Physics : Physics in every field, 5. Chemistry : Forensic science and 6. | Merit award, 2015, 2016 & 2017 | Merit award distribution ceremony was organized by ‘The Science Forum’, B. H. College, Howly on 25th September, 2017. The ceremony was conducted by Dr. Suruchi Singh, Secretary, ‘The Science Forum’ which was held in the Seminar Hall at 12.30 PM. The merit award was introduced from the year 2015 for both HS and UG level students. Students securing 90% and above in HS final examination were selected for the award. In UG level, B. | World Environment Day, 2019 | On the occasion of ‘World Environment Day’, 5th June, ‘The Science Forum’, B. H. College, Howly organized a programme in the Seminar Hall at 2 PM. Dr. Suruchi Singh, Secretary, ‘The Science Forum’ conducted the programme where Bappi Nath ( B.Sc. 6th Sem, Zoology Major) explained the aims and objectives of the programme with a warm welcome to all present in the meeting. Prof. Mishra started his speech stating the significance of the day and highly appreciated the forum for conducting such type of programme in the college. Dr. Nabajit Das, Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology was invited for talk on the occasion, and he was felicitated by a Phulam Gamocha and a Variegated Snake Plant (which is one of the plants declared by NASA as the best indoor air purifying plant). The gift of the plant matched with the theme of ‘World Environment Day’,2019 which was ‘To Beat air Polution’. Dr. N. Das, in his speech, addressed the students with a ppt presentation on the photography taken by him during his research work. In his talk, he explained how to take a good photograph and how to become expertise in photography. He also highlighted and shared his research experience on Bengal Slow Loris on which he was awarded PhD degree by Gauhati University. During research, Dr. N. Das was engaged in many multinational projects in the areas where this species were found. He inspired the students to be active, sincere, dedicative and vocal. Dr. N. Das beared a excellent carrier with some international paper publications along with presentation of international papers in conferences, seminars etc. He received research fellowship in Oxford University. He visited many countries as invited speaker and expert. He has been working as a Research Associate of Primate Research Centre, N.E. India, Guwahati. On the occasion, few students of B.Sc. 6th Sem of Zoology Major of the year 2019 ( Bappi, Nizara, Pavel, Shikha and Shilpa) donated saplings to ‘The Science Forum’ and the same were planted in the B. Then he gave a nice presentation on the basics of astrophysics stating different terms like celestial sphere, altitude, latitude, longitude, horizon, ecliptic, vernal equinox, autumnal equinox, zenith, nadir etc. so that common students can understand very clearly. In his lecture he told that the components with which humans were composed of were available in the stars. After that, Principal cum President of the forum, Dr. B. C. Pathak was invited to say few words. In his short lecture, he appreciated Dr. Upakul Mahanta for his wonderful lecture and also offered thanks to the forum for conducting such type of activities. | Observation of World Environment Day, 5th June, 2023 | The tree plantation ceremony was inaugurated by Dr. B.C. Pathak, the esteemed Principal of B.H. College. Dr. Pathak planted a magnificent neem tree, symbolizing the importance of greenery and sustainability. Following his lead, other notable individuals such as Dr. Rodali Talukdar, the Head of the Chemistry Department, and Dhiraj Kumar Sarma, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry, actively participated in the tree plantation drive. Jyoti Prasad Roy Choudhury, the Head of the Physics Department, and Dandeswar Deka himself, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics, also joined in, further highlighting the unity and dedication towards environmental conservation. At noon, the attention shifted to the seminar hall, where an enlightening talk was scheduled to take place. Pranab Ch. Debnath, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Zoology at B.H. College, was invited as the resource person for the event. With a focus on the theme of World Environment Day, which revolved around finding solutions to plastic pollution, Mr. Debnath delivered an engaging speech. Using captivating PowerPoint slides, Mr. Debnath illustrated the utility, usage, and unfortunate misuse of plastics in our daily lives. He highlighted the detrimental impact of plastic pollution on the environment and shared valuable tips on how individuals can contribute to reducing and mitigating its effects. His presentation also emphasized the urgent need to save our planet from the perils of plastic pollution. Following Mr. Debnath's insightful speech, Dr. B.C. Pathak, the college Principal, addressed the audience. He expressed his appreciation for The Science Forum's efforts in organizing such crucial awareness programs. Dr. Pathak acknowledged the importance of educating and motivating students to actively work towards environmental conservation and the preservation of our planet. | A talk on 'Proper use of Plastics' on 29 September 2023 | On 29th September 2023, a talk on 'Proper Use of Plastics' was held at the seminar hall, commencing at 1:30 PM. Dr.Dhiraj Kumar Sarma, M.Sc., M.Phil. (Chem), M. Phil. (Astrology), BHMS, an Assistant Professor in the esteemed Department of Chemistry at B. H. College, Howly was the resourse person. Dr.Sarma's academic journey stands as a testament to excellence. He earned his M.Sc. degree with a specialization in Organic Chemistry, Chemistry of Organic Natural Products, Medicinal Chemistry and Organic Synthesis from Cotton College under Gauhati University in 1998. In September 1999, he embarked on his teaching career as an Assistant Professor in the Chemistry Department at B. H. College. Driven by a profound passion for both chemistry and astrology, he pursued and successfully completed M.Phil. degrees in both domains. Further expanding his horizons, he acquired a Bachelor of Bio-Chemic System of Medicine (BMBS). His journey took an intriguing turn as he ventured into Homeopathic medicine, in addition to possessing vast knowledge in allopathic and ayurvedic medicine. Presently, Prof.Sarma is engaged in a doctoral program at Bhattadev University, with a focus on Synthetic Organic Chemistry. Beyond his academic pursuits, Dr.Sarma's versatility extends to the technical sphere. He is highly proficient in Linux and boasts an impressive skill set in computer software installation. His impact as an author extends to the creation of textbooks designed for HS and UG chemistry students. During his enlightening speech, Dr.Sarma emphasized the indispensability of plastics in today's world, acknowledging their role in crafting numerous tools and fulfilling various packaging needs. However, he passionately advocated for the reduction of pollution through judicious plastic usage. His insightful recommendations included avoiding single-use plastics, especially the thin-layer varieties used for carrying vegetables and groceries. He underscored the importance of reusing and recycling certain plastics. This enlightening lecture, tailored for B.Sc. 1st-semester core students, attracted an audience of about110 students accompanied by science faculty members. The meticulously organized event was executed under the guidance of DandeswarDeka, the secretary of the science forum and it culminated as a resounding and impactful success. | |
| National Science Day 28 Feb 2024 | B.H. College celebrates National Science Day-28 Feb, 2024 Today, 28 Feb 2024, on the occasion of National Science Day, B.H. College's ‘The Science Forum’ has organized the celebration of National Science Day. On this occasion, in a seminar was organized in the college auditorium where Dr. Sanatan Kr. Nath discussed in detail about C. V. Raman’s discoveries. The voluntary program of Nalbari, ‘The Green Globe’ raises awareness among students about environmental consciousness and scientific mindset. The President of the Green Globe, Vishwajit Sharma explained the different activities conducted by the organization. He informed about the various social welfare activities and initiatives of The Green Globe. The coordinator of The Green Globe, Pankaj Lochan Deka, enhances rational discussion against social misconceptions. The President of the Science Forum, Dr. Bhushan Chandra Pathak, praised the initiatives of The Green Globe. The program was anchored by the student of the sixth semester, Popi Narzary. The vote of thanks was offered by the student of the sixth semester, Albert Kujur. Nearly three hundred students, along with teachers, staff and attendees made the event successful. | International Workshop, 22-23 March 2024 | On 22nd and 23rd March 2024, B. H. College, Howly hosted a vibrant two-day international workshop focusing on competencies development for biodiversity conservation and all the teachers of The Science Forum were involved in the mega event. Prof. Ramesh “Zimbo” Boonratana, an eminent figure with roles including Vice-Chair at IUCN SSC Primate Specialist Group and Editor-in-chief of Asian Primate Journal, led the workshop. The event featured three technical sessions and drew participation from 57 attendees, encompassing faculties, research scholars, undergraduate, and postgraduate students. During the workshop, Prof. Boonratana highlighted a significant insight, stating, "No formal degree is necessary to engage in conservation practice," thereby emphasizing the extensive network of conservation practitioners. The workshop's importance was underscored in the welcome address by Principal, Dr. B. C. Pathak. Prof. Prabhat Ch. Choudhury anchored the inaugural session, with Convener Dr. Sadananda Nath elucidating the workshop's objectives. Dr. Nabajit Das assisted Prof. Boonratana during the technical sessions. The valedictory session was skilfully conducted by organizing secretary Dandeswar Deka, culminating with a vote of thanks from Dr. Bhabananda Deb Nath. Dr. Barnali Pathak and Hunjuli Katharpi curated the rapporteurs' notes. This event was a collaborative effort between B. H. College, G.L.C.
