World Environment day- 2025

Description: World Environment Day 2025 was observed on 5 June 2025 at B.H. College, Howly, by the Science Forum, B.H. College, in collaboration with Barpeta Road Anchalik Mahila Samity. An awareness programme on the responsible use of plastics was also organized at the college portico.
On the occasion, Principal Dr. B. C. Pathak delivered an informative speech highlighting the significance of World Environment Day. He emphasized the need for environmental conservation and advised students on the proper management and disposal of plastic waste and other non-biodegradable materials.
The programme was anchored by Dandeswar Deka, Secretary of The Science Forum, B.H. College. Joymati Talukdar, Secretary of Barpeta Road Anchalik Mahila Samity, also addressed the gathering and spoke about environmental protection and the importance of reducing plastic usage.
As part of the programme, the members of the Mahila Samity distributed valuable saplings to the Principal, symbolizing their commitment to environmental sustainability and encouraging tree plantation among students and the community.
The programme concluded with a collective pledge to protect the environment and promote eco-friendly practices in daily life.
